Start by applying some paint on the plate and then spreading it out, using a brayer or paintbrush. You can create any pattern in the paint by using templates, stamps, brushes, spatulas, stencils or texture combs. When done, place your paper or fabric onto the gel printing plate and press it firmly, allowing the paint to properly stick to the material. To finish, pull your artwork off the plate.
