Silk Cut Linoleum is a traditional lino that is a highly responsible medium that enables the artist to create beautiful prints. Silk Cut Lino has the ability to transmit all kinds of marks - angular and curved lines, textural detail and straight areas of pattern and colour. It is capable of expressing both very simple and sophisticated imagery. It is made from ecologically friendly renewable raw materials such as cork, linseed oil, limestone, rosin and wood flour. Every aspect, from harvesting raw materials through to the return to nature of the finished product, meets stringent environmentally-conscious standards. The natural raw materials that make up Silk Cut linoleum are harvested from sustainable crops, and at the end of its life it can be safely added to landfill refuse sites, where natural decomposition takes place.
