The fan is a brush finish used mostly for portraits and landscapes. Originally used for blending oil colors on canvas, they are now popular for stippling and grain effects.
Winton Hog Brushes have been developed for use with Winton Oil Color and can also be used with other oil, alkyd and acrylic colours.
Using the skills and knowledge of over 150 years of brush making, the Winton Hog Brush range offers excellent quality at an affordable price.
Winton brushes are made from good quality Chinese hog bristles and are hand set into corrosion resistant seamless ferrules. The natural curve of the hog bristle produces a strong brush that retains its shape even after heavy use, allowing the artist more control and precision, whether painting with oils, alkyds or acrylics.
Solid wood handles have a green stained finish with five coats of lacquer that provide protection along with a smooth finish for ease of use.
